Dual Monitors not working (DVI + HDMI) (They both work individually)

AMD Radeon HD 6950

I'm trying to run my main monitor through DVI and a TV as a secondary through the HDMI socket.
I can't get them both working though.

They are both plugged in - Catalyst control centre see's both - but if I try to 'extend' I get the error:
"The operation is not supported based on current display configuration".
I can 'replace' to either one, so individually they both work fine.
(Similar story with windows 8 control panel desktop properties)

Additional notes:
I have 2 DVI sockets - if I plug the monitor into the other one, it is not detected at all.
The graphics card worked fine in my old PC, I've moved it into the new one and now get this problem - seems to be installed fine, it has 2 power connections which are both installed, not much else I can say on it..

It's a new PC apart from the graphics card. BIOS I presume doesn't need tweaking?

Any ideas?

Windows+P no luck.. Again I can switch between the two, but extending or duplicating does nothing.

DVI is plugged into the bottom one (ie, not the one next to the HDMI, if it is plugged into that one it is not detected at all)

Try re-installing catalyst (With the latest version if you haven't got it), this may resolve the issue, but it may be a Windows 8 bug.
