I just installed a stick of RAM 4 GB, total should be 8 GB with the other 4 that was already in there. So I installed the new 4 I got and when I click on properties under computer, it still says 4 gb, whereas I go to system properties where it tells me what OS I'm running etc. It says Installed RAM is 8 GB. So I'm confused. My computer is running faster so I'm guessing it's in there? Thanks in advance :)

Try this:

Open "System Configuration". (Windows + R), type in "msconfig" and press OK.
Under "Boot" Tab click on "Advanced Options" and check "Maximum Memory" and select 8192.
Press OK and Apply.
Reboot.

I hope that works.

Thank you so much, but I did that to no avail. :( I wonder why it's saying in system properties Installed memory RAM 8.00 GB but then my computer properties are saying 4 gb still?
