4GB Ram (1.95 Usable) HELP !!!

Just made my new build and kitted it out with 4gb ram and its saying 4gb ram (1.95 usable) , I have 64bit machine and I tried tons of operating systems windows 7 ultimate said the same thing as well,
PLEAS HELP - btw I was able to use the ram until one day it just said 1.95 usable

Could be one of the memory modules died. Remove one and boot the PC if you see 2GB of RAM, then that stick is okay. Swap out with the other stick of 2GB RAM to see if the PC can recognize it. If both RAM sticks are good, then it could be the memory slot. Try each RAM stick in the other slot the RAM was in before.

If you have a full size ATX motherboard, then you will have 4 memory slots. I believe the even and odd slots work in pairs for dual channel mode, but you need to consult your manual. If the RAM sticks were original installed in slot 1 and 3, and say if slot 3 is dead, then install the RAM sticks in slot 2 and 4.

il change them around but they were both in use before i remember runnig saints row 4 and like 6 more apps and i was using 4gb
