I have been doing a lot of reading especially on johnnyGURU. I am trying to figure out exactly how big of a PSU I will need for the setup I am planning on building in the next few weeks. I used PCpartpickers wattage estimator, but I heard those can be misleading. Here is what I am planning on using for my setup. I would like some head room for upgrades down the road.

Gigabyte R9 280X 3gb GPU
AMD FX-6300 Six Core Processor Socket AM3+ 3.5GHZ
