What is the best i5 cpu for 'enthusiasm' gaming?

Hey guys!
I'm upgrading my pc with a new cpu because I'd like to replace my 2 years old i3-2120 dual-core by a newer i5 quad-core. I'm not doing any editing, 3d, I've built my pc to game and felt the need to upgrade my cpu.
I've read reviews and went on the forum to see what was the best but I couldn't find the right one. I'll have a Radeon R9 270 with one HDD, 620 WT of psu power, and I'll never overclock.

I've thought about the 3550P first, but many people suggested the 3570 (not the K version).
I know I don't need the latest i7 to run recent games but I still need some suggestions before I make a decision.
Thank you!

I'd agree with the 3570, it would be a good upgrade, powerful to take what you want but not charging extra for stuff you don't really need (hyperthreading). And you shouldnt even need a new motherboard to support it. Just make sure your BIOS is up to date enough to support it.

I don't think so, I think mine is something like a H77. But that doesn't matter because I'm gonna buy a new mini-itx motherboard to make a smaller build.

Because I've been told not to pick the K version if I'm not going to overclock. And I have no intention to.

Is there any performance difference between both of these socket/cpu ?

Thanks for the advice, but I'm only getting a new mobo because I'm changing my pc to make a mini-itx build.

The 4670 is slightly faster out of the box, as said above, about 5-10%. It does however produce slightly more heat and if you got the k model (which you're not) it overclocks slightly worse. So I'd go with the Haswell 4670 (LGA 1150) in your position. And I'm jealous, looking at getting myself a mini-ITX build in the (hopefully) near future. :3

Also, I was wondering, do integrated graphics interfere in any way with the gpu or ram? Or is it harmless?

Completely harmless, and helpful. It's good to have if you don't have a dedicated GPU; if you do have a dedicated GPU, the integrated GPU is not used. I haven't heard of it interfering with anything. If your dedicated GPU dies at some point you'd still be able to use the integrated GPU while you wait for a replacement.
