I would like to build a custom case for my new rig. I'm thinking about using wood or acrylic as the main case material.
Has anyone else had experience with this? If so what did you use, and what would you suggest?
Also is there something that I need to ground the whole thing so static doesn't build up? I want the case to be functional yet still look good.

Solution
I do not have any experience on the case but your power supply ground should prevent any buildup of static. Just make sure to ground yourself to something else before working on your computer if your case is not metal. You are the source of the buildup of static that you need to worry about.
