This is my build
i5-4670k 3.4GHz
Gigabyte GA-Z87X-UD4H ATX LGA1150
16GB (4 x 4GB) of RAM
Samsung 840 Series 250GB SSD
Seagate Barracude 2TB 7200RPM HDD
2 EVGA GeForce GTX 780 GPU's for SLI
Seasonic 1050W Gold Power Supply
Windows 7 Home Premium

My problem is that when I play games I'm running them slower then I should be, and I know that because my brother has almost the exact same computer except he has an i5-3570K and only one graphics card. The game I'm using for reference is Battlefield 4, I get about 30 - 40 fps on average on ultra with vsync on, where hes getting maximum fps of 60 on the same graphics. Is there something wrong with my build that I just don't know of. And I'm pretty sure I've downloaded all my drivers unless there is something hidden I don't know about. Help would be appreciated on this issue.

I also should mention that on the lowest graphics with vsync off, I barely manage to keep 50 fps.

Solution
...have you tried turning off v-sync? (only ask due to the max of 60 in games)

try turning off v-sync. If this does not fix it, then i dont know man

I have a a 780 and it's rare to see a game UNDER 60 fps

Tried, one of them ran like 5 fps better than the other but that was it.

ok, but even a single 780 should be getting better numbers the numbers you were getting before. Try some other games, as BF4 is hit and miss right now as it is basically an unfinished product. Crysis 2 was a fairly stable nvidia test bench game, and there are others that are pretty cheap on steam right now

I got assassins creed 4 with the graphics cards, It runs at a solid 50 fps on max, and rarely 60 fps.
Also tried far cry 3, got about a constant 30 - 40 fps.
Then games like Chivalry, Natural Selection, Insurgency, CSGO I get 60+ fps unless something very stressful is going on.
Then there is DayZ and I average less then 30fps 80% of the time. Then again it's in alpha so I can't complain.
Last there is Payday 2, I average 50 - 60 fps.

I might have found something, I use dual monitors, and I had them both plugged into one graphics card. My brother suggested plugging one of them into the other graphics card, when I did it I got less fps than I did when they were both plugged into the same one.

Edit: Just noticed my PC in general is running slow since I did that.

So, whenever I Played games, watched streams and videos and what not my computer would start stuttering. By stuttering I mean sound, video, and performance was really low. I decided to open my computer and check around and found out that the cooler on the processor wasn't attached, would that have something to do with it?
