installing a new gpu

I just "finished" a new and build with an Asus f2a85v pro motherboard and the a10 processor. I planner to install an ATI gpu in the next month or so but a friend gave me an nvidia card for nothing. Will I encounter problems running the two?

Not unless you had a compatable amd card, and if you did so you would do well to list the exact processor, exact gpu you were given, and the exact power supply you have in order for anyone to make recommendations for you
