Hello,

I have read that non-k Ivy Bridge CPUs could be overclocked by 400 MHz . The Max Turbo Frequency of the i5-3470s is 3,6 GHz . This step would generate a CPU Frequency of 4 GHz ?

Is it also possible to increase the BCLK of this CPU to 105 MHz and apply a multiplier of 40 to generate 4,2 GHz, or at least quite stable 4,1 GHz ( BCLK=102,5 MHz) ?

I already got an Z68 motherboard wich is capable to change the multiplier. The Thermalright hr-02 Macho is the planned CPU cooling system. I also like to apply quality heat-conductive paste between the cpu-die and the ihs.

The maximum multiplier on non-K/X chips is locked. They can be bumped up by three bins at the expense of disabling three cores.

Overclocking with BLCK is not recommended since it messes up clocks for tons of other components that may (silently) not like being that far out of spec.

It can be raised by 4 which affects all levels of turbo, not just single core turbo. I also wonder where you got the 3 bins from. Stock turbo for the 3470s is:
1-3.6
2-3.5
3-3.3
4-3.2
So that's 4 bins from 4 cores to 1. Or 7 from normal speed.
