I'm looking to start up the new year with a nice boost of performance on my computer and since I already run a Gigabyte Radeon HD 7850 with 2gb would xfiring it with the same card be a fairly dramatic performance or is it not worth it? I hear for other threads that xfiring seems to be only worth it with eyefinity displays. Is this true? or should I just invest into a single more powerful card like something with 3gb gddr5 much later in the future? I mostly play battlefield 4 (somehow with no crashes and low bugs) so that would give you a nice bit of reference of what I'm looking for. I've tried looking for things about people running xfired 7850 with bf4 but all I seem to get are threads about the beta which isn't really of much help.

it is the best upgrade you can do compared to the price, i believe you will get a 60-75% boost in your games, the downside is that not all games are made to make use of crossfire, so in some old games and some indie games you will not experience an improvement at all.

Battlefield 4 will make full use of crossfire and the 7850 will be compatible with mantle when it is released, so if you are planning to only play BF4 and other AAA titles then an upgrade to crossfire will be a good investment. just remember to check if you have enough watts in your PSU before you buy an upgrade.

if you want to upgrade to a new card alltogether, i would recommend the r9 280, it is not too steeply priced and will perform good in games.

btw i am too running BF4 with no crashes and no bugs, i think a large portion of the BF4 gamers have the same, but we only hear about the people with problems, because they are the only ones to complain...
