Can't format a micro sd card

i bought a brand new 8gb micro sd card & adapter. when i try to format it "windows was unable to complete the format" apears. what do I do?

  1. Very Simple

    Just Right Click My Computer Choose Manage
    Then at Computer Management choose Disk Management
    At Disk2 Right Click at your "Protect Removable Disk" ex: "Removable Disk (F:)"
    and Choose "Change Drive Letter and Paths for ....."
    Simple Click "REMOVE", then Click "ADD", simple ....
    Try to Format Yours then Try to Copy Another files

  3. I couldn't do anything with my microsd card other than copy the files. I couldn't write to it, or delete or format it. I just solved the problem by going into properties and "sharing" it, and adding all controls to the user of my pc.

  5. Format the card in a digital camera. The camera doesn't care about any protection except the mechanical switch on the card. Once formatted, it should work in the PC without a problem. BTW, the solution works for Macs as well
