some help would really be appreciated this is kinda annoying and a huge let down after waiting for a new pc for so long :/

EDIT - The starting up part is slow when its finally loaded its just fast and stuff

Hi, the WDC WD10EADS-22M is a GREEN drive designed to save power at the expense of slower performance. Nice write up here: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/green-terabyte-1tb,2078-5.html The drives it's being compare to are all slow drives. This is a nicer slow drive. 5400 rpm.

Download HDTUNE (google it) and run the benchmark.

Fix is (1) buy a faster spinning drive. e.g. WD Black or (2) Buy an SSD at say 240GB and manage space across your current drive and the SSD.
Start-up on your PC is probably HDD limited. Can you go to device manager and see what make/model disk drive is in your PC? A wonderful 'green' drive can really make boot take forever.

There are a million tutorials on getting a faster boot time, e.g. Use SYSTEM CONFIGURATION http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/using-system-configuration#1TC=windows-7 to turn off start programs and services that you don't want.
