Samsung evo 840 ssd Windows instalation failed

Hi

I just finished building my gaming rig.
- Asus maximus V formula
- 120gb Samsung evo 840 ssd
- intel i5 3570k
- 16 gb dominator platinum

I am trying to install windows on the ssd and I'm not succeding. Every time during instalation it stops and a blue screen comes on.

Please help

Did you set up the BIOS? Better to set it all up before windows install. I think samsung has some free boot apps that will zero out the ssd before you try again too.

Set up bios in what way? I set up dvd rom as primary boot device and before I even get to chose de drive for Windows instalation it restarts

Try hitting the delete key to get into BIOS. Tap it fast as soon as the comp starts to boot.

I got into bios several times. I don' t understand what you mean by setting up the bios more exactly.

Get your manual. Start by setting optimized defaults, then make sure the memory timing is set to specs as well as the advertised speed of the sticks too. Make sure the board is set to AHCI too for a faster ssd.

Immediately upon startup go into the system BIOS and select the ssd as the primary boot drive instead of the dvd optical drive. Save the change and continue with the startup and Windows installation.

I'm a bit confused.

In your opening comments you posted that during Microsoft Windows installation you get a blue screen and the installation stops.

In another comment you indicated when you enter the system BIOS the computer restarts before you get a chance to select the ssd as the primary boot drive.
