SO i bought a new computer had it for 3 days now, and earlier this morning it keeps restarting giving me this (in small writing) error: system_service_exception (tcpip.sys). I have no idea what this is or how to fix it. this is the first time i have dealt with windows 8, not sure about anything at this point.

Everytime i start my computer up i get everything loaded and at random intervals (the restarts are not all at the same time) sometimes its 1 min after computer is loaded sometimes its 5 minutes. The computer will go to a blue screen with a sad face and more stuff saying its collecting info and will be ready to restart in x% (goes up to 100%)" and in small writing beneath that is says "If you wish to know more search system_service_exception (tcpip.sys)." this is not an exact copy of what it says but it provides you with the basis of what it states. i went through device manage in control pannel (not sure if this is the right way to update network adaptors) and right clicked and tried to update network adaptors and it said i have the most uptodate version, again i dont know how accurate this is. i have also run a system check on both my hard drives (well one is a harddrive and the other is an SSD)

Now im curious to know if this is some sort of virus on my computer (remembering that i have only had the computer for 3 days) or whether i have a problem with the computer, from what I have been reading from a previous post it has something to do with network drivers, and again i dont know what im doing (i am not very tech savvy) so any help her would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance.

Solution
Definitely sounds like a new network driver is needed. Post the brand and model number of your system and we will see if we can track down the latest LAN driver available for it.
