Kryptickzz :
I was looking at the hx series and tx series, but what wattage do I need for this setup?
i7-3770k
ASUS GeForce GTX 670 2GB SLI
Corsair Vengeance 2x8 1600mhz
i7 3770k = 77W
GTX 670 = 170W
Other components = 50W at most
Total = 297W
You want to run a power supply at about 70% of its rated power when at full load.
297W / 0.7 = 425W
So for this system you really only need a 450W power supply.
If you want upgrade options, a 550W power supply with two 8 pin PCI-E power connectors could run any currently available single GPU graphics card.
Corsair HX and TX series are both good quality.
Consider the following supplies:
Corsair TX 650 - Good quality 80+ Bronze rated unit
Corsair HX 650 - Very good quality 80 + Bronze rated unit with modular cabling
Antec HCG 620 - Very Good quality 80+ Bronze rated unit
Seasonic G 550 - Top quality 80+ Gold rated unit
Seasonic X 560 - Top quality 80+ Gold rated unit with silent fan mode and modular cabling
Note that in most cases the extra cables can be tucked away pretty easily, so the modular supplies aren't really necessary.
Better quality units tend to last longer and the cleaner power they supply often means your other components last longer too.
