I built my current PC over 5 years ago but sadly for the past few months it has not coped with our gaming, so we have stopped playing until I can build a new one (it was bound to happen eventually).

I have a fairly tight budget of $1,300 (AUD) approx US $1,150. I have completed my research and am now just looking for some different opinions as it has been a long while since my last build. Any feedback is appreciated :)

CPU: Intel Core i5-3570 3.4GHz Quad-Core
MoBo: Asus P8Z77-V LK ATX LGA1155
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 8GB (1 x 8GB) DDR3-1600
HD: Western Digital Caviar Black 2TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive
GPU: Asus GeForce GTX 760 2GB
Case: NZXT Guardian 921 RB ATX Mid Tower
PSU: Corsair TX650M Modular 650W TX Series 80+ Bronze Certified ATX
Optical Drive: Samsung SH-224DB/BEBE DVD/CD Writer
Monitor: Asus VS248H-P 24"
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit

Please note I will be buying additional items in a few months including another stick of 8GB RAM, and a 256g SSD for program files and games.

I am interested in any suggestions for better performance for the money. The Games that we currently play are DragonAge, WoW, Football Manager, Civilisation, Bioshock etc. However, we would like to be able to play anything that takes our fancy :)

It looks good...

Maybe you could get the SSD and the second stick of RAM now, and the monitor in a few months? That's assuming you still have whatever monitor you've been using. That would avoid the need to reinstall Windows and applications. It's debatable. Both SSDs and monitors will be cheaper in a few months, I think, but I have no idea which one will drop more.

Hey Thanks :) I'll be keeping my current rig for our home office, as it is still super fast for everything I need in that regard (just won't play games), the re-install will be a tad annoying but the price for the SSD is currently around (AUD) $250 and the RAM is (AUD) $100 which I just can't stretch to yet and I really miss my games lol. I am hoping the price on SSD's will drop dramatically but will have to wait and see.
