MSI GTX 770 GeForce Lagging like crazy

Today I installed the MSI N770 graphics card into my PC and so far I'm extremely confused as to why it's not running games the way i think it should. It came with GeForce Experience, MSI gaming app, and MSI afterburner, these programs work to a certain extent so I tried uninstalling and reinstalling everything with no results. I got a few free games from buying it and all of them are unplayable (under 30 FPS) and even minecraft lags like crazy when it easily runs on my school given lenovo 220X. Please help me fix the problem with my lagging graphics card.

check that your mb bios is up to date to rule out a bios bug. also make sure the motherboard chipset drivers are updated to rule out a chipset issue. make sure the card has both power ports filled and your conencted to the gpu and not the onboard video port.

by chance did you have amd drivers installed before? if so you need to uninstall those drivers. Also it would be a good idea uninstall and reinstall you invidia drivers.

I had a NVIDIA older card that I used before i had the money to get this one but before I installed my new one I wiped all the old drivers
