So I have a new build. Specs are below. At first there was no video and then I saw that the ATX connector wasn't in. So I plugged that in (mobo has 8-pin, psu has a 4-pin connector), and that's when the dram light blinks red once and then my computer immediately shuts off after that. I can't hit the power button again at this point. I have to shut off my psu via the switch and turn it back on in order for me to power on my computer again. I unplugged my gpu, switched around my ram...Even had no ram in and there weren't even any beeps. Can that by my cpu?? I can hear my harddrives booting, and all my fans turn on. I have a pretty old PSU even though it's 500W, so I'm thinking it may not be powerful enough. Let me know if I left any details out, Thanks so much! I really hope it's not a dead mobo or cpu!

mobo: ASUS M5A97
cpu: AMD Fx-8320 (with hyper 212 EVO cooler)
gpu: GeForce GTS 450
ram: Kingston HyperX 8 GB (2x4gb)
psu: Diablotek DA Series PSDA500
