Anything you would change? (Aiming to run BF4, Crysis 3 etc. On Ultra at 1080p)

Will a 2GB GPU suffice for upcoming games?

Any incompatibilities?

Could you recommend a case?

Do I really need 8GB? (I'll only be using one monitor and I won't be Multi-tasking)

Can I overclock it well later on?

Specs:
CPU: AMD FX-6300 3.5GHz 6-Core Processor
Motherboard: ASRock 970 PRO3 R2.0 ATX AM3+ Motherboard
Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1866 Memory
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 500GB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive
Video Card: Gigabyte Radeon R9 270X 2GB Video Card
Power Supply: Corsair Builder 500W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply
Case: ??????????

Thanks.

I'll use UK prices since that should be the closest for Ireland. Something like this.

MSI 970A-G43: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/msi-motherboard-970ag43
Asus M5A97 LE: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/asus-motherboard-m5a97ler20

HDD if this is any cheaper near you.

The 270x will likely not be able to Crossfire with the 3xx series. The 270x won't be terrible, it is still a strong card, but for games like BF5 you will need to turn down your settings to something like medium-high which is not bad at all. I have the 7870 which is a similar card and I can max most games, with exceptions like BF4 and AC3.

Overall not a terrible build, but I would change a few things. I have not heard good things about the ASRock 970 PRO3 - I've not used one myself but I have the Extreme4 which I've had issues with as well. You also should get the WD Blue 1TB, as the difference in cost is only about $10. The 270x is a decent card, but if you are future-proofing you may want to look towards the 280x or GTX 770. 8GB of RAM is plenty.

Thanks. For a different motherboard what would you reccomend? (In the same price range). Good spotting that the hard drive is only 500GB. Sadly, the difference in price between a 500GB and 1TB is €40 (Ireland for you :p) and I'm on a budget of €500. Could I just get 4GB Ram and get another video card in the future? For example the 370X video card came out in 2014/15, could I crossfire that with my 270X to play Battlefield 5 (Or would there be incompatibilities like different architectures and clock speed deifferences)?

Thanks. You seem very knowledgeable about these things, thanks for taking the time to check prices and all that :D . Last question though, should I drop the 8GB RAM and get the 4GB with the 40 Euros saved should I get this card: http://goo.gl/73QYsU instead. Will this future proof my PC as the XBOX/PS4 have 3GB of VRAM and most games are based off of them. In basic terms; Should I get a 4GB Video Card (270X) with 4GB Ram?
Thanks by the way.

Many games are using over 6GB of RAM now. While you will still be able to play games like BF4, you will be better off with 8GB of RAM. A 2GB card should be enough for now and you can always add another card in Crossfire later if you need.
