Ok so i bought a new computer for myself. and there is a HUGE problem with it.. YES i put it together my self. and yes i bought everything individually.. and put it in myself.. i upgraded from a duo core 3.0mhz 4GB of ram 800mhz. asus P5Q motherboard.

to a 6 core 3.3-3.9mhz 8GB of patriot viper xtream 2000mhz with an msi 970a-g46 mothboard and for some reason my duo core is faster. and they have identicall harddrives. with no errors. on either. i built my old computer. and when i tried to build this one. there seems to be a problem with it. as my duo core is faster.. i have bin working at it for 6 days. and freakout out about it.. my patriot viper xtream ram 2000mhz 16000 is getting picked up in C-PUZ AS PC3-8500f ( 533MHZ ) i have 2 sticks of 4GB the same ram. is there a way i can fix this or must i buy new ram? i am begging to think that this ram is for INTEL.. as i bought AMD stuff.. plz help

in addition to that my core speed to my processor changes. from 1.400-3.400 MHZ

all new cpu do that it the energy savings features. my intel i5 does that too as you dont load the cpu the cpu will clock down and turn off cores. you have to turn off energy saving features if you want lock the cpu at max speed all the time.
first check that your running the newest bios file on the mb. dont use the windows bios updater or your brick your mb. in the bios look for xmp profile or amd version of it. if there no xmp profile in your bios use cpu-z read the ram xmp profile in spd tab. then go into the bios and set the ram speed and voltage yourself.

make sure you installed the newest amd chipset drivers for your mb.
make sure the newest gpu drivers are installed and your video cable on the gpu port.

in the bios my ram is getting picked up at 2000mhz. and it auto changes speed to 1866MHZ all by its self. BUT when i load the computer and open CPUZ it shows its running at pc3-8500f (533mhz) i am really getting frustrated at this as i have bin reading and trying new stuff. for the past 5 days. on trying to fix this issue..

i was reading somewhere that the XMP 2000 is for INTEL only. and the max that i will get this ram to go on AMD is 533MHZ. but if i had INTEL. i could get it to work as it sappose 2.
