Title really says it all. When I'm playing any game whether it's BF4 or AC4, there's a crash. The screen has turned a different color pretty much every time whether it's red, black, blue, green, or white (I'm sure there's more colors). This is then followed by a weird noise, almost like a buzz or really fast rattling. I usually have to wait a few minutes to reboot my machine only for it to crash again when I'm playing.

check with msi afterburned the gpu not getting to hot. a lot of gpu to keep them quiet keep the fan speed down. you may have to make a new fan profile to make the fan go faster to keep the gpu cool. check that there not a furry kitten clogging your gpu fan or cpu fan. (i seen a few cat clogs blowing out pcs.). if it not a heat issue what size is your power supply and the make of it and your gpu. some cheap units cant output the voltage needed to keep a gaming gpu running.

My GPU is the Asus DC2 780 one and I have gone into GPU tweak and totally cranked the fan setting and it didn't help. I don't own a cat. My PSU is 80+ Bronze certified and 620 watts. It's an Antec HCG-620M. I've been told it could be something to do with the amps on the 12v rail of my PSU. Should I upgrade my PSU?

Checked with Afterburner and got through a round of BF4 on ultra and the card was at 50 celsius and then crashed at the beginning of the next round. I recently replaced my crappy 620w PSU with a Corsair AX760 (Seasonic OEM) and still crashed in BF4 and other games i.e. Garry's Mod and DayZ. PSU and temps definitely can't be the issue.
