Question regarding pin on Mobo

Hey everyone I had a quick question that has been causing me a little bit of frustration. I recently put together my first gaming rig and everything was perfect except for the fact that I wanted to add an additional 200mm fan to my case. Today I added the fan but as I gently inserted the 3-pin connector into the mobo it caused the pins to bend a bit. Now the fan as well as the computer is functioning 100% as intended but for whatever reason it upsets me the pin was bent. Is there anything at all that should cause me to be concerned or is this entirely fine? Thanks everyone and look forward to any and all responses.

If everything is working it will be fine. It's just metal it will still work if slightly bent. I've bent pins on headers before just bend it back into shape and put the cable on. the electron flow will not be stemmed just because there is a slight bend in the metal. :)

Copper and Aluminium are both very ductile metals. They bend quite easily as you found out, but they do not break easily. You can bend them back into place if you wish, or simply leave it well enough alone.

Why do I see all these posts regarding people attempting to bend back cpu pins on the mobo and breaking them off, rendering the mobo useless? I'm likely just leaving it be since I don't want to risk anything but I'm just interested in understanding.

if you do it carefully you will be fine. But if you don't need the header leaving it alone if fine too.
