is this just a new thing for PSUs not to have switches? my new PSU says 100-240v AC on it with no switch does this mean it automaticly detects voltage? i dont wanna fry my new PC im in the USA so will this just automaticly detect the voltage for USA outlets which is 115? im assuming it does but i want to ask more experienced people before i install it.

I love how this guy has esp and knows it will and is willing to risk your pc without even asking what model psu your talking about. I wouldnt install till its verified the model psu you got can detect the needed voltage. Please post what psu you have.

Hi - In the description in your link - "Certified 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply"
Without going into lengthy specifics the active PFC means you don't need the 110/230 switch on many older PSU's as well as cheaper newer PSU's that don't have active Power Factor Correction.

He said it's labeled 100-240 and doesn't have the switch. You tell me. How is it going to do that without active pfc?
