Hi guys, i recently built a new pc and everything is fine although i think my CPU temperature may be slightly high.

CPU = AMD FX 6300
Fan = Freezer 7 Pro (bought off ebay)

Currently as im typing this and skype in the background it is (according to speedfan) 42 degrees

When i am playing Splinter Cell: Black List the highest temp was 62 degrees. Ultra settings.

I think this is slightly high? Considering it is not a stock fan, heat sink is done properly too. I don't know if this is a problem but the CPU fan is close to the top fan of my case, as pictured below. Could this be a problem? The only solution is turning the CPU fan round but i am not sure it will fit due to stuff on the motherboard. I cn move the top fan to the side, but i read top fan should be nearer to the back of the case.

Any help? Thanks.

(CPU Fan is parallel to top case fan)

That's normal for your CPU, especially since it's an AMD and they normally run pretty hot, 70 degrees is pretty much the highest you can go while still in the safe zone. I wouldn't worry about it.

Well im using the fans my case came with (ZALAMAN Z9) 1 in the front, 1 on the side, 1 at the back and 1 on top.

When i have time i might try turn the CPU around so that the fan is facing the opposite direction then see if the temp changes, although if you look on the picture there is some structure with MSI on it (not sure what the technical name for this thing is) that may block the attachment of the fan. If this is the case then i may need some alternative design CPU fan cooler

Also, internal temp is 27 degrees atm minimal load, skype ect. Case has a detector

Hi again guys, an update on my situation for those interested.

I switched around the cpu fan so it is the other way round away from the top fan, i also tested my other fans and the back one was spinning air outside where it was suggested it should be taking air in, so i also fixed that. All fans now take air in EXCEPT the top fan.

I also cleaned the old heat sink off the CPU and fan and used the pea method to re apply.

Updated Temperatures (using speed-fan):

Idle (minimum programs running): Average 34 C
Heavy load (Tested with Prime95 for 1 hour, Small FFTs):
Average: 58 C, was this temperature throughout. Maximum (last 10mins or so) 62 C

I'm very happy with this result, from my original post you can see the temp has come down by around 10 C which is great. Thank you everyone for your help.
