Mixing different memory, same size, frequency and voltage. Different CAS latency Tags: Latency Memory RAM Hewlett Packard Last response: December 29, 2013 7:39 PM in Memory Share rremus December 29, 2013 4:56:12 AM I have a HP probook 4540s with 1x4 GB of RAM (Samsung 12800s 1600 MHz 11 CL, 1.5v) and I want to add another 4 GB of RAM. I did not found the same type of RAM, but I found this: Kingston HyperX PnP 4GB DDR3 160MHz CL9, 1.5v Would it be a problem if I mix two different type of ram with the same size, frequency and voltage but different CAS latency? Get the Kingston and replace the 1GB Samsung with it. m 0 l Can't find your answer ? Ask !
