Your question

Mixing different memory, same size, frequency and voltage. Different CAS latency

I have a HP probook 4540s with 1x4 GB of RAM (Samsung 12800s 1600 MHz 11 CL, 1.5v) and I want to add another 4 GB of RAM.

I did not found the same type of RAM, but I found this:

Kingston HyperX PnP 4GB DDR3 160MHz CL9, 1.5v

Would it be a problem if I mix two different type of ram with the same size, frequency and voltage but different CAS latency?

It's best to not mix ram, it causes instability and crashes.

Get the Kingston and replace the 1GB Samsung with it.
