Is this a good build for 4k res ultra settings gameplay?
Im gonna play games like Watch Dogs which requires an i7 for ultra gameplay. So not gonna buy an i5. Any other recommendations???

Solution
On 4k with a single r9 290 you could probably do a mixture of settings with some on medium but not everything on ultra. If you want ultra then a second one is recommended. Although I would still recommend adding a second one for the best experience

A 290 would kill every game on ultra including crysis 3 at 1080p

2560*1440 is a good resolution for that card and you could still run games on ultra while averaging above 40fps on the more demanding games and above 60fps on less demanding games

It seems that putting in another r9 290 massively exceeds my budget. Would 1080p gaming be easy on the eye??
