This and then move to a 770 because the 7970/280x are way over priced

and for this build i suggest you to buy amd fx 8320 and overclock it to 4 ghz and you will get same performance as 8350. and you should go for 8gb ram (4x2) dual channel for better performance

I prefer AMD over Nvidia. And fx-8320 and fx-8350 has only about 30€ difference so it's not a big difference for me.
Isn't AMD Kaveri a new generation of APU's?
What do you think, how long these R9 series GPU's are overpriced?

850w will be good if you want to add a second 770 later. If not then go with 650w. Also, 16 Gb of RAM is overkill. If you're you're just going to be gaming and web browsing and such, you only need 8 Gb. The only thing you would want 16 or more Gb would be for heavy video editing.

Maybe some faster ram @ 1866MHz and only 8GB of it.

850 is a bit much if you do not plan on getting another GPU for crossfire 600W is plenty.

As you already have saved a bit of money can I possibly talk you into a SSD?

What about this for a motherboard?

GIGABYTE GA-990FXA-UD3 AM3+ AMD 990FX SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard

Similar price point and it seems to have a lot less DOA issues as per reviews on newegg

So would these be better?

- G.Skill 8GB (2 x 4GB) RipjawsX, DDR3 1866MHz, CL8, 1.5V
- GIGABYTE GA-990FXA-UD3
- Corsair 750W RM-Series

SSD would be only a plus for me. Would this do the job? PNY 120GB XLR8
Does this PSU support my Asus R9 280X DirectCU II TOP?

Yes to the RAM

Yes to the Motherboard unless you prefer asus

The psu is still a little but much for a single card setup.

Yes that is a reasonable SSD. Samsung or Intel are preferred, but I see nothing on the web indicating this product is inferior.

I would almost suggest waiting on that and purchasing a larger SSD, I've quickly run out of space on my 120GB drive and had to decide which games I wanted to keep playing. It was a bit upsetting.

That's only 132€. It's kinda stupid that everything is on different price point on different countries. This "PNY 240GB XLR8" is the cheapest SSD what I can find right now and it's on sale......
Is it possible to put windows from HDD to SSD or vice versa later on?
