Which brand 780 Ti?

Hi,

I have decided to get a GTX 780 Ti, but I am quite a bit in doubt about which brand I should go for (with a non-reference air cooler).

I considered these:
Gigabyte 780 Ti OC Windforce (the cheapest option for me)
MSI 780 Ti Twin Frozr
Gainward 780 Ti Phantom
EVGA 780 Ti SC ACX
Asus DirectCU II 780 Ti

The problem is that there are not so many reviews out on the different cards which make it difficult to decide.

Which one do you think would be the most quiet?

It seems like the Gigabyte and MSI are very close to each other, with identical clock speeds and noise levels (based on Guru3D reviews - http://www.guru3d.com/articles_pages/gigabyte_geforce_gtx_780_ti_windforce_3x_review,8.html and http://www.guru3d.com/articles_pages/msi_geforce_gtx_780_ti_gaming_review,8.html), but the MSI seems to run a bit cooler.

The Gainward Phantom looks nice with the removable fans, but I don’t see them recommended so often for some reason.

I think the Asus version looks really cool with the backplate, but I could only find a single review of this particular card (http://www.kitguru.net/components/graphic-cards/zardon/asus-gtx-780-ti-directcu-ii-oc-review/32/), where they criticize the noise levels a bit. It is also overclocked a bit less than the Gigabyte and MSI - I will probably not be doing any extra overclocking, at least not to begin with :)

What would you pick? :)

If you have a well ventilated case, the non reference coolers will work well.

If your case is somewhat restricted, the stock blower style coolers get the hot air out the back of the case quicker.

All of the cards will perform well, and the GTX780ti cards are relatively quiet and very strong at stock.

If you live in the US, EVGA would be my first choice. They have an active US based support forum.

Many thanks for your replies :) I see that EVGA gets good feedback on their customer support, but I'm from Denmark, so maybe it's not the same here :)

I'm going to get a Corsair 750D case - I think the airflow in this case should be great for a non-reference cooler? :)

The Gigabyte is the cheapest option, but it's not by that much - I'm mainly concerned about getting the best cooler in terms of noise levels (with adequate cooling of course).

Judging by the Guru3D reviews I linked before, it seems like the MSI Twin Frozr gives a bit better cooling with the same noise output as the Gigabyte Windforce cooler? Or maybe I'm putting too much meaning into the numbers they report?

I would not worry much about noise and cooling in a decent case like yours.
The GTX780ti runs cooler and quieter than the R9 amd cards.
If you have a preferred brand, buy that. I would buy the least expensive unit with a factory overclock and don't touch it. You won't need to fool with trying to get a minor bit more out of the card.

Windforce is top line for cooling better than any other one I know of. As for noise level it's pretty good too but I don't know how it compares.

Thanks again :) I'm leaning towards the Gigabyte due to price, but I saw that for their 780 (non Ti) card they made an improved rev 2.0 of the Windforce cooler, - does this mean that the cooler on the 780 Ti has the same improved rev 2.0 design, even though it doesn't mention anything about rev 2.0 on the 780 Ti Windforce?
