Hi Everyone, I am having a very weird issue on my Windows 7 Machine.Along with my Primary Drive Which has Windows 7 loaded,I also do have a 1TB Toshiba 5400RPM Secondary Hard drive for storing my files.Whenever I try to load any files from my Secondary Hard drive like a music track or a video files, the playback is very unstable. It stops many times in between for a few seconds and then again continues,But If I copy the same audi track to my Primary hard drive from the external one,It runs without any hiccups.
I would also like to tell you that along with Windows 7,I also have Mac OS X Mavericks on my Primary drive.Whenever I access the secondary Toshiba Drive from OS X, The playback is fine.
So why is Windows 7 stuttering while playing media files? Do help me out
Thank You

Maybe your secondary 5400 RPM drive is too slow for the transfer? i.e if your video file is 100MB and its 5 seconds long, then the data size is too large for the slow transfer speed of 5400 RPM drives.

That, or maybe the drive is failing?

I don't think so.Because as I said,I also have OS X Mavericks installed and it loads up Files just fine.In Windows,On the other hand,Even 6-7MB Music Files take time to load

Oh.... you're a dual booter.

Well, there is a lot of weird stuff that goes on with dual booting. Perhaps since the drive is formatted in a special file format that OSX has issues reading it? The solution is very grey in dual booting.

Great idea.

Try using the disk check utility in "My computer" to disk check it. It'll tell you if there are errors.
