Hello im going to be getting a new cpu cooler for my fx8350, I was going to get a evo 212 but its just too tall and won't fit.

Has anyone got any suggestions as to what cpu cooler i should get, I preferably need one that is of good quality, and not too loud.
Thanks.

You could look at a TX3.

ALso what's your budget? You could get a corsair h80i/h100i and mount the radiator at the top if you have spaces there.

unfortunately I don't have room for both of those, and my budget is around £30.

My cpu is mounted at the top so there isn't that much room, is there not anything the same size (or around) as the AMD stock CPU cooler?

I'm pretty sure the majority of people's CPUs are mounted near the top, due to where the motherboard is placed. If you're looking for something around the same size as the stock fan, you won't get much better than the stock fan.

would this one work better than my amd stock cpu cooler? this seems to be the only one that will fit in my case. plus will it fit on my motherboard (78lmt-usb3)

thanks looks like ill get this!, :) but one other thing, is there anything i can change in the bios settings to change how loud and quite the fan is, eg cool'n'quite?

Cool'n'Quiet dynamically alters your clock speed to reduce power consumption and heat production, so if that's turned on, leave it so. If you want your PC to make less noise you could try something as simple as going to the power saving setting in the windows power options. Other than that, you could use a program like Speedfan which I believe would allow you to manually lwoer your fan speed. However, as you do so your temps will rise - do not exceed 62c on the core or 70c on the socket if it all possible, they are the max for the FX series.
