Might be a dumb question, but I'm a newbie to pc and looking for help!:)
I'm building my first gaming pc and am wondering if I need a network adapter? I'm using the z87 GD65 mobo and a haf 912 case, so if I do what one should I get, or does it really matter? Also does wireless vs wired really matter? My computer is going to be a bit far from the router so it would be hard to go wired?

If you can run cable it is a lot better
but how far away are you form your modem/ router is that an issue?

Err do you want to run cable to you pc or do you want wifi
i highly recommend using cable (ethernet) since the connection is a lot better and faster and you wont have dropouts or loose speed through walls and stuff.

If you run cable you wont need one ;)

Unless the PC is right next to the WiFi source, potentially a LOT better.

I'm at least 2 rooms away from it. So maybe a bit of a problem.

If you have the skills it is fairly easy to run the cable through your roof (if you have access all it take is 2 holes drilled) otherwise you can run it along the corner on you walls and make it look tidy by using clamps.
