My brother needs a gaming PC so i threw together a few parts and i'd like you to give your thoughts.

Here's the specs:

Case: Bitfenix Shinobi with window.

MotherBoard: MSI Z87-G43 Motherboard

Cpu: i5 4670k

Graphics Card: MSI Radeon R9 280X Gaming 3GB

RAM: G.Skill Ares F3-1866C9D-8GAB 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3

Cpu Cooler: Hyper 212 EVO

Storage: Seagate Barracuda 1tb

Monitor: ASUS VX238H 23in Widescreen LED Monitor

PSU: Corsair GS-600 V2 Power Supply

Additional Cooling: 3 x Bitfenix Spectre Pro 120 mm fans

Grand total: $1450 AUD

That's all.

I think this system sould do alright.

I'd like to hear any thoughts you have on this build.

everything great and perfect for the budget.
You may wanna increase PSU to a 750w one to make a Future proof for overclockign and CrossfireX Setup , just in case if you want.
a good one will be XFX PRO 750 or Corshair CX 700m

That looks like a great build! I have that same MB and it works great for me.

Be aware that the MSI Z87-G43 MB has some legacy PCI slots where other MBs would have PCIe slots. From the MSI specs:
Quote:
Slots
• 1 x PCIe 3.0 x16 slot
• 1 x PCIe 2.0 x16 slot
- PCI_E4 supports up to PCIe 2.0 x4 speed
• 2 x PCIe 2.0 x1 slots
• 3 x PCI slots
End Quote

Additionally, I would recommend avoiding a combination of MSI MB and G.Skill RAM. Some ppl have compatibility problems with that combination. I have been very satisfied with my Crucial RAM.

Good luck!
