Is this setup okay for Gaming?

I have been building a PC for the first time and wish it to be for gaming aswell as video editing and rendering. It has not yet been fully built and I am still awaiting for my processor to be chosen so changes can be made for the processor.

CPU : i5 4570
GPU : Gigabyte 2GB 650ti Boost
Motherboard : Gigabyte Z87-HD3
RAM : 8GB (upgrading to 16 GB soon if necessary)
HDD : 1tb
I can't think of any other necessary components to include on this list so if I missed anything, please say so!

I am mainly asking whether any improvements could be made or needed for my processor and to whether having 16gb of RAM is necessary or if I could stick with 8GB.
Also, would a 128GB SSD be helpful for its cost?
This is my first build so forgive me for my lack of knowledge:p
Thanks

Solution
The parts you have chosen are a bit weak for what you have in mind. For rendering/ gaming i recommend a i7 4770k.
And also for gaming at 1080p ultra your going to want at least a gtx 700 series card.

Your processor will be fine for gaming and should do for editing and rendering.

You may want to upgrade your GPU to a 2 GB 660, you will find a performance boost, and it is also probably the best bang for buck GPU.

8GB of ram will be fine for gaming but you might want more for editing and rendering, so in the future you may want to get another 8GB.

Also an SSD will help massively with speed.

Finally, just to make sure, Power Supply, and I don't think the motherboard has wi-fi if you need it.

I think rendering will happen quite slowly on an i5 if it was just for gaming a i5 would be ok but i would still recommend a i7 4670k but if he wasn't rendering and gaming i would say 4770k since the rendering would be done a lot faster.

My power supply is a 500V and I have already installed a wifi card yeah :p
Eventually I plan on adding in an extra 8GB of ram so I shall do this and I was wondering, if I purchased an extra GTX 650ti, or even if possible could I purchase a GTX660 and have it working along side my 650ti without a problem?

No you cant unfortunately for sli and crossfire you need the same family for it to work you need to 660's or 2 780's but the company who makes them doesn't matter so you can pare a gigabyte 660 with an evga 660 and that will still work.

So, could I purchase an extra GTX 650ti and use 2 of these?
If so, would this make a great difference from having a single 650ti?
