Whenever I am downloading something my computer freezes for a good minute or two, it is getting awfully annoying. After the couple of minutes it unfreezes, but this should not be happening, I built this computer about 5 months ago. I checked to see if anything was overheating - nothing was. I blew all of the dust out of it (there was a very small amount). I ran several virus scans, One with Microsoft Security Essential, and one with AVG (No, they were not both installed at the same time.)
This has happened recently with:
Youtube videos
Downloading Online Games (World of Warcraft, Neverwinter, etc.)
Playing those online games while talking on raidcall.
System Specs:
CPU: AMD FX 6100 Six-Core Processor 3.30 GHz
RAM: 8 GB RAM (One stick)
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 650 Ti (1GB)
MB: ASUS M5A97
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
Any help is appreciated, thank you!
Edit:
I uninstalled and re-installed my copy of Windows 7 after wiping the HDD recently, it did not change anything, which makes me believe that it is a hardware problem, not a software problem.
