OK, lets straight forward. This is my third post for today so I'm really sorry if I'm spamming the forum with my questions. This is my first time building my own PC, so I need any recommendations or supports in regard to the two GPUs and CPUs. I got two different deals from two different dealers but in the same price. I never build my own PC before so I feel very confused right now. One said that Intel is much better than AMD and the other said the other way around.
I intend to use my PC for gaming and learn some CAD softwares on 1080p monitor.

Here are the deals:

AMD
CPU: AMD FX-8320 3.5GHZ 8-CORE BLACK EDITION
GPU: Msi R9 280x Gaming 3GB
Motherboard: ASUS M5A97 R2.0 SOCKET AM3+
RAM: CORSAIR 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 1600MHZ
Case: ZALMAN ATX CASING (Z5 PLUS)
PSU: SEASONIC M12II BRONZE 620W POWER SUPPLY

Intel
CPU: Intel i5-4440
GPU: Zotac GTX760 4GB
Motherboard: Gigabyte.B85M-D3H
RAM: 8GB Kingston Value
SSD: 120GB Crucial m500 SSD
Case: NZXT Source 210
PSU: Super Flower HX500W Gold 80+ Modular

Notes:
1) As I'm gonna use the least money as possible, I'm considering to use Hitachi Travelstar 5K1000 1TB which I bought it first as my external HDD to be my future main internal HDD on the PC. So my question is, will the drive works fine with the parts listed above?

2) Anyone knows anything about the PSU in the Intel's deal? I can't find any reliable review about the PSU.

3) For the Intel's deal, I think I wanna dump the SSD storage as I think it is not necessary for me at the moment. Any recommendation on what can I get for the replacement? Maybe better motherboard or PSU?

1 yes it will work
2 Generally very good to new for a review yet http://www.realhardtechx.com/index_archivos/Page330.htm
3 Well better GPU and bigger PSU (transfer from AMD rig) and go with Intel.
