Hey guys!

As first my PC specifications: AMD Gaming PC

I have some question about the memory for my system.
At the moment I use the Kingston HyperX memory what I bought in 2011 (KHX1600C9D3K2/8GX).

But I will give this memory away to my dad and I want to buy some new memory :)
First I was thinking about the Kingston HyperX again because it worked always great.
But after some research the Corsair Vengeance is more used and popular for game PC's.

Maybe can someone advice me wich memory I can buy the best for this system? (Maybe some other memory, 1600MHz or higher?)
And if I pick the Corsair Vengeance, does it matter if I choice the High Profile one or the Low Profile one?

Corsair Vengeance - CML8GX3M2A1600C9B
Kingston HyperX - KHX1600C9D3K2/8GX

Thanks in advance!

Solution
When the sticks are first installed the mobo won't recognize them so it should reset the DRAM setting to it's default, or prob 1333, then as said you set them to spec

I'd use either (probably whichever is cheaper). Kingston is said to be much less likely to fail than any other brand of memory. It really depends on what your dad is using his computer for, if it's just normal computing then 1600MHz is more than enough. As for high or low profile ram, low is only better if you need to clear a CPU heatsink.

Well, at this moment I use the Kingston HyperX KHX1600C9D3K2/8GX in my own system.
But I will give this memory away for his PC, because I build a new one (with some old Hardware from me) for him :)
This is why I got the opportunity to buy new memory for my own PC.

So I have to buy some new memory at all...
But I'ts hard to decide wich memory I should pick...
I hope you guys can help me out with this.

Thanks!

Thanks for all the answers!
I decided to buy the Corsair Vengeance and give the Kingston HyperX memory to my dad.

Another question!
Do I have to reset my bios after I installed the new memory?
Or can I just go into the bios and change the old memory profile into the new one?

Thanks in advance!
