So im looking at getting a new monitor, and i am loking at THIS monitor. Since it says it is a 720p display does that mean i can only get 1280x720 resolution with my pc? or can i get something higher?

then go with the first one you linked :p

I think some 720p displays are actually 1366x768, so that would be the absolute max you can do. actually when it comes to LCD, there is one and only one resolution - the native resolution. this isn't like the CRT monitor days where you could have a dozen options. on LCD, you get ONE (or if your card will bother to support it you can get exact half/third/fourths of it)
