how to do a manual uninstall

samsung data migration software refused to go using more than one method. so i manually got rid of it. i deleted all folders/data in program files and program data, deleted start menu entries etc and ran ccleaner for registry issues.

is there anywhere else or something else i should do for a complete manual uninstall?

i was uninstalling samsung data migration, but it refused to uninstall. so i manually deleted all mentioned in 1st post. is there anything else i should look for that people know of (in general, not just with samsung dm)

Uninstalling a program is not the same as deleting its folders. In fact- you making it harder to uninstall. As I pointed out earlier- Microsoft Fix It is specially designed professional tool that helps to get rid of EVERYTHING if uninstall is not working. Download and run it. It would ask what you need to uninstall and do it for you.

yeah, sorry for late reply. me too - W8.1 pro, tried but not supported at this time! in the end i installed an installation tracker and reinstalled the software, then removed everything with the tracker. messy, but at least it's all gone now
