Need help removing / locating virus!

About 3 months ago I bought an Asus laptop from a pawn shop for an absolute steal. I ran malwarebytes on it and it picked up 3 viruses and removed them. I installed Avast and run CCleaner often, but it still seems a little slow. I burned 2 sets of recovery disks with the Asus AI Recovery tool, but they put my computer into a boot loop when I try to use them(even in a virtual machine).
I downloaded HijackThis and ran it because it appears to be popular with malware removal, it came up with a few errors of which I think showed up in the log.

I could use some help reading it and finding out of my computers acting up because of this or something else. Thank You in advance :)

I would download the free anti virus anti malware that runs from a boot CD/USB -- Kaspersky Rescue Disk 10 from HERE. It often finds stuff that none of the others do.

If you are ready for a clean install, you can get a full install disk and burn to DVD from DIGITAL RIVER and do a custom install. First step is to delete all existing partitions, then install to the single unallocated space remaining. You can then activate with your OEM activation key that is on a sticker on your machine (sometimes in the battery compartment). You will no longer need the restore partition with a full install disk, so make sure to delete it during the custom install process.

You should have wiped the drive and reinstalled everything to start with. I would recommend that course of action now. And don't use restore disks made from the infected machine. Get them from the manufacturer or use a regular windows install disk.

For a pawnshop PC, I would blow away the OS, no question. Assuming it still has the activation key on the bottom, you can download the official Windows 7 ISO, install, and activate with that key.

There is no way I'd attempt to use that original OS, beyond power up to make sure it works. Virus or no virus.

I did not have the time to wipe it when I bought it because some punk kid kicked my bag off the bleachers at school and I needed a replacement that same day. I don't have enough time to do a full re install with all the drivers and updates, that's why I need to either get these restore disks working or fix whatever problem it has manually.

Will you have the time to change all of your passwords for any online accounts? Replace all your bank details? Restore your credit?

There is no possible way I would use an existing OS on a pawnshop laptop. Doubly so with known existing viruses.

You can screw around trying to eradicate whatever malware and viruses are on this thing.
Or you can do it right once, and be done.

A full reinstall...you could have been done by now.

The only malware malwarebytes found were some funky ass adware toolbars, ok? The system also had kapersky(yuck), which I do believe does not come with oem systems, so the user installed it himself.

What's questionable is that after a system resume, it will show the background for about 1 minute before it displays the login prompt. None of my other systems do this, even if i put it in hibernate.

Yuck? Kasperski is a very good anti-malware program when used properly. Better than Malware bytes.

And I am with USAFRet on this one. A complete wipe and reinstall is your only true solution. If you want to take a chance, thats your decision. However, the piece of mind your looking for cant be had using your preferred methods. Its that simple.

It takes a few hours, which would have been over long ago if you just downloaded the ISO, burned a full disk and done the install.

You cannot manually fix it, so go buy some restore disks on EBay, and find out if they work.
