Hello! A friend of mine brought me a pretty old PC to fix it as I have some skills in this job. I powered it up, after Windows XP logo, it crashes every time, BSOD and restart and it becomes caught in a restart loop. I tried to go for a safe-mode boot, it restarts when it reaches the file Mup.sys. I figured it out it's a Windows-related issue so I tried to perform a clean install, but I had a big surprise there, it won't boot at all neither from USB or CD. I tried 2 different XP bootable CDs that worked on another computer with no succes. I changed DVD-ROM jumper to master and HDD to slave, still nothing, I changed Boot Sequence, nothing... I start to lose my patience. :( If anybody is able to help me I would be very pleased.

I just plugged in an IDE hard-drive with XP installed. I managed to boot into safe mode, then accessed the setup files from an USB drive. Now I'm installing the Windows on that IDE hard-drive, and I'll keep the SATA drive as slave.
