Screen flickering problem

Hello!

I have some problems with my screen. It's difficult to describe it, but it looks like whenever there's a dark surface on the screen, some brighter horizontal lines appear moving up and down. Normally this wouldn't be really annoying, but I'm mostly using my computer for gaming and in-game there are plenty of dark parts where it just gets on my nerves. The problem is mostly noticeable in the game called Cabal online. When i run that game in window mode it just gets unbearable, but running it full-screen doesn't fix it completely either, but it's much better that way. I also noticed it in Borderlands 2 pretty badly, but generally it appears everywhere, even when browsing the web with only the browser open.

Here's what I've tried so far:
-replacing my monitor with the same one of my brother, whose works just fine. It was the same with his monitor connected to my computer, while on his it worked fine. So that's probably not the problem
- i tried another VGA cable that connects my computer and monitor, also to the other slot on the video card. Didn't fix it.
- i tried replacing the video card with the exact same from my brother's rig. Same as before and my video card worked fine in his computer.
- also tried replacing the RAM, but it didn't help
- tried moving the whole thing to the other room, and moving the monitor to the biggest distance possible form the computer
- tried moving the cables inside the house to see if it's anything related to some electromagnetic disturbance - didn't change anything
- tried connecting the main power cable to different wall sockets, nothing changed
- tried changing the refresh rate as well
- updating graphics card driver

My specs:
Mobo: Gigabyte GA-970A-D3P
CPU: AMD FX6300
PSU: CoolerMaster 600W Elite Power Black - RS600-ACABM-WB
Graphics card: Nvidia GeForce GTX550 Ti 1GB (factory overclocked)
RAM: Kingston HyperX Blu 2GB (DDR3 1600MHz) *2
Monitor: Hannsg-G HQ191
And I'm running Win 7 Ultimate 64 bit. (Tried reinstalling too as I noticed the problem with Win 7 32bit(

I changed my motherboard , CPU and PSU a few months ago, and while I didn't notice the flickering initially, it might've been present. With the old components I didn't have this problem.
Also I haven't done any overclocking.

My suspicion was that there was some kind of electromagnetic disturbance around, but as I mentioned I tried moving the computer and the monitor too further away from each other and to another place. Is it possible that the PSU is causing that to the components in the computer's house? Or if not, what should I try?

Any advice is appreciated! Thank you in advance.

And sorry for the long text... I was trying to be precise :)

EDIT: While I couldn't find the problem about the flickering, I managed to solve the almost unbearable part of the issue of for example Cabal online (or any game played in window mode for that matter) by limiting the FPS with RivaTuner. The flickering problem still persists though...

Well it seems I have managed to solve the problem, and here is the solution should anyone encounter such a problem. I tried a DVI cable (the one that's digital, not analog like VGA) and it seems to have fixed the problem. I don't know if it was the PSU or the motherboard that didn't like VGA cables but it I guess since those parts are more modern this was the case.
