Okay so I am upgrading my processor from an i3-2120. The two cpus I am looking at are the i5-3570K, and the i7-3770. I mainly use the pc for gaming and want the best quality while playing modern games. If I buy the i7 I will be broke haha. If I get the i5 I have some more money to upgrade my RAM, and other components. Which one should I go for?

Solution
The biggest difrence between the I5 series and the I7 series, is multithreading.
But there is not many games which supports multithreading. 'YET'
Some populair games which supports multitreading:
Warframe
The secret world
Arma 3
PlanetSide 2
Hawken

In the future nearly, every game, should support multithreading.
I think it will take about 1-2 years before it happends.
Hope this is help enough:3

REMEMBER
Your CPU has to be compatible with the motherboard you're using.

IF NOT COMPATIBLE
Buy a new motherboard which is compatible with the CPU you are planing to buy.
(You can find a cheap motherboard for about 75$)
Or you could wait untill you have enough money to buy both.
