Why can I get no sound from my HDMI cable through the television when it is plugged in?

I have used my laptop to project onto my television numerous times in the past. Today it won't let any sound come through the HDMI cable. I have looked at my sound mixer and it tells me the only thing I can use is the speakers. I looked in the Device Manager and my HDMI sound is there and it says it is working properly. Any suggestions from anyone on how to get my HDMI sound back into the actual sound control setting?

If right clicking the sound icon (bottom right) and selecting Playback devices, is there the HDMI listed there?
If yes, is it enabled?
