At the start of the night my idle temperatures were around 27 degrees, then I found out there was problems with my ram, it was appearing as 7.6gb usable in win 7 and in my bios it says only 1333mhz when it should be 2133mhz, so I tried to change that in my asus Maximus vi hero bios to Xmp as suggested, it made my ram go correct, then I went back into windows and the idle temperatures are around 50 degrees so I change it back to auto in my setting and re log in and it's says 50 degrees ambient? I don't know what to do and my ram is still at 1333mhz for some reason.

I have the stock cooler and am not overclocker, thanks.

I don't know that much about the new Haswell CPU's yet but i think they are only compatible with 1.5volt ram.
Did you motherboard downclock your ram to make it compatible?
If you set the ram at full speed and it ran at 1.65volts could it have caused problems for the memory controller on your CPU?

The only thing I have modified in my pc is my gpu clock speed, not my processor or ram, I'm still confused about the temperatures though
