Well, while I'm not saying to reinstall it for now is an appropriate "solved" status, it looks like this guy is right. However, dear ol' ShockTroop done figured it out again. Apparently, I'm the only one who seems to know why it messes up in the first place. Its so simple, its stupid. you run something like asio audio drivers which seize control of the microphone line. this causes shadow play to insta-fail, which is normal. However, whats not normal is the fact that shadow play NEVER EVER rechecks the audio line to see if its available. It just sticks to a retarded box with a troll switch that says "activating" but does nothing, as it NEVER re-checks audio. Shadow play be like; "well you'll never have this again. hope you weren't fond of me." I have known this was a possible error as, each new update to drivers themselves fixes this issue, but only until you do that again. For 100% proof of the issue, just do not record with mic audio. you'll never have a problem. Nvidia doesn't "software bro" apparently because a 2nd grader would know to re-check errors. How simple this really is to fix: you click shadowplay in experience, the little box pops up, disables all sound. you click the switch back on...it re-checks and re-initializes sound. OMG! ShockTroop OMG iq points just skyrocketed 300 points. =_='
