I'm building my first computer for gaming, and I'm really excited to get this project all together because right now, as it's on paper it's looking really good. My budget is to be determined (right now, 800-1200 USD) because I can earn the money pretty quickly and I'm willing to wait if I have to on this.
I've been looking to the forums on Tom's Hardware for help on certain pieces and while I haven't made any posts myself, the other members have helped me learn a lot.

I do need help checking the compatibility of all my parts (and if I have them all). If you think that there's anything that needs changing or if I need to add anything to further enhance my gaming computer, please say so!

Case(to my knowledge comes with built in PSU and 8 internal fans): Rosewill BLACKHAWK-ULTRA Gaming Super Tower Computer Case

Motherboard: Gigabyte Intel Z77 LGA 1155 AMD CrossFireX/NVIDIA SLI W/ HDMI,DVI,DispayPort Dual UEFI BIOS ATX Motherboard GA-Z77X-UD3H

Processor: Intel Core i7-4770K Quad-Core Desktop Processor 3.5 GHZ 8 MB Cache BX80646I74770K

RAM: Crucial 8GB Kit (4GBx2) DDR3 1600 MT/s (PC3-12800) CL11 SODIMM 204-Pin 1.35V/1.5V Notebook Memory Modules CT2KIT51264BF160B

Hard drive: Toshiba 3.5-Inch 500GB 7200 RPM SATA3/SATA 6.0 GB/s 32MB Hard Drive DT01ACA050

Graphics card: XFX ATI Radeon HD6670 1 GB DDR3 VGA/DVI/HDMI PCI-Express Video Card HD667XZHF3

Is there anything I am missing or do any of these not work with eachother? I'm using this computer for gaming so if there's any u[grades I need to make please say so!

Thanks!

The motherboard and CPU wouldn't be compatible because the 4770k is a LGA1150 socket. Look for a z87 motherboard. My suggestion is an ASRock z87 extreme4 motherboard.

And with gaming, you probably should invest more in the graphics card, the gains from an i5 -> i7 isn't worth it if its jsut gaming. Just a thought. You probablly could get a much better graphics card.

I always recommend new builders start with a cheapie practice build before they spend serious money on a big build. You would be surprised how much you learn doing one. It's certainly not a necessity, but I think you would find it beneficial.
