ATX 12V wire problem

I am doing a new custom build and needed longer wires coming from power supply to the ATX 12V 2x4 plug. I decided to save a little money and splice in an extension into the wire. I cut the yellow & black wires to get ready to add in the wire when i realized i made a dumb mistake and forgot to label each one. in the gigabyte manual it tells that 1 through 4 pins are the GND and 5 through 8 are the +12V.

I am confused because it says for 1 and 2 by the GND in brackets (only for 2x4-pin 12V). and for 5 & 6 it says +12V (only for 2x4-pin 12V). i have opened the power supply to try and figure out if its labeled and all they say is +12V 1, +12V 2, +12V 3.

i guess my real question is, are all the yellow +12V and GND wires the same? if i hook them up by their color, will i have problems and or fry my motherboard.

thanks

Solution
Exactly right. All colored wires are +12 and all black wires are chassis ground. So it doesn't matter which yel you splice to which yel. Just try not to use smaller gauge wire than what it was originally.
