Do I need to plug my three pin led case fan in with molex if I have it also connected to the motherboard?

So, the other day I built my first computer, and I got it working, connected everything, but I noticed that from day one all of my case fans have been running at full power, and it's driving me crazy! If I have my three pin fans connected to my temperature monitoring motherboard, do I also need to have it connected to the PSU, for say, power for the leds?

On the plus side, my motherboard only runs at 20°C...

No. Plug them into the motherboard only. The LED's get power from the motherboard.

no, you should either have the fan connected to a motherboard fan header OR directly to the PSU using the 3-pin to 4-pin molex connector, never both at the same time
