I own an hp pavilion p6120t and right now the main game I only play and care about is League of Legends and my PC runs it only on very low and its a bad experience I was wondering if I upgrade my graphics card alone can it improve my gaming performance and let me run other games too? To run the game in max(LoL) and other games in medium? List the graphics card below! Please and thank you!

you got to keep in mind that thoes computer makers like yours ,dell, hp. whoever fix[locked] the bois so you cant do certin upgrades. this is due to they dont want you to do somthing to there computer and damage it and then blame it on them for warrenty or refunds..... yours my or may not but i would hate for you to spend good money on it and find out you cant install a card and be left holding the bag as outhers did..... read his last post...

Some Pentuims are dual core. The Pentiums listed here: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?cc=us&lc=en&dlc=en&docname=c01817978
...are all dual core processors. Run CPU-Z and it will tell you how many cores you have: http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/cpu-z.html
As to Junkeymonkey's concern, all I can say is I have added discrete cards to many HPs and Dells over the years and never had the issue he mentions. Of course, you will have to decide.

And yes, you can use the GT 8600, but it won't be very good at gaming: http://www.hwcompare.com/11873/geforce-8600-gt-1gb-ddr2-vs-radeon-hd-7750/

well you should have jumped on them threads that thoes guys with them dells and hps that bought there cards and did not get then to work? plenty of them right here at toms and would sure like to hear from you ... heck you can start with that guy i posted the link to above i'm sure he would like to get his going as with the rest here looking for help with that.

I'm just here to help and learn.

thats all good but this bios thing is dont to were you dont do somthing to have them liable to warrenty it i'm not saying it cant be done and there are tricks to do it on some but like thoes with these computers go spend there money just to find that that upgeade is blocked the link i posted above was to show that eaven that he took it to a shop they could not do it ... its not done to hurt the enduser but to protect them from bad claims agients them.... but his model may allow for that change were another model may not of that brand.. all i want him to do is be sure it will take the upgrade and not be left out of cash and holding the bag....

thats cool but the guy needs to know that not all models will alow you to do that yours may let you his may not and for what i see at hp of his i dont think it will it looks like its limited to the three hp spec, cards they list{??} did you go look at that? he can go do as he wants but this issue was put to him and he has to decide whats next...

vid cards got bios to hp orders cards for there products with locked boises for there products and and also motherboards it depends on witch model they sell that allows certin parts to be upgraded so heres a guy with a gateway read his last post to see where he is at with it

hp dell acer they all know what there doing this one will this one will not its there product to do as they see fit and how it was sold to you and be used.. bu t i warned about what could happen and he can do as he wants so if it dont work and he is out cash on a new card he can say i told you so ... if he instals it and it fires right up then its all good ...
