My friend and I are planing on building a gaming computer in February and I am being overwhelmed with all the options. We want to build a 5-8 hundred dollar gaming rig that can play Battlefield 4 on Ultra or High. Any suggestions or tips on a computer parts would be helpful.

Mantle is basically a software which is going to improve the performance of select AMD/ATI cards (R9 270X, R9 280X and HD7870 are included) in games which include BF4, Star Citizen and thief. Check out this build I made you- http://pcpartpicker.com/parts/partlist/ . If you want an Nvidia card then go for a GTX660. The R9 270X will play BF4 on Ultra (and so will the GTX660), but it's going to get Mantle which will increase performance by approximately 50%. Hope this helped.
